PEGAS for carbonated water in South Africa

The Specialised Dispense Systems Co., ltd, a partner of the Novosibirskprodmash, ZAO, has supplied the PEGAS systems to the well-known producers of pure drinking water RO3Oasis in South Africa.

Till recently the PEGAS systems have been used only for filling beer, wine, lemonade and kvass from kegs into PET bottles, though they have always had a strong potential for being used for filling carbonated water. Now the PEGAS dispensers are being tested for filling carbonated beverages in South African retail outlets.

The RO3Oasis Water company decided to study the demand for carbonated water on tap on the local market. For this reason PEGAS dispensers were installed in two stores in George and Strand cities, Republic of South Africa. Carbonated water RO3Oasis is filled right in the stores and then is offered to customers in 0.5 ltr PET bottles for take-away. Before this only non-carbonated purified water RO3Oasis was sold in retail outlets.

In case the field study shows that carbonated water on tap is popular among consumers, the RO3Oasis company plans to install the PEGAS fillers in all outlets of their retail chain that counts for 90 franchise stores all over the country.
