Novosibirskprodmash, ZAO, demonstrated its latest version of the PEGAS CrafTap development at the world largest beverage industry trade fair Drinktec 09, September, 14-19, Munich, Germany. PEGAS CrafTap is a system for fast and foam-free filling of beer from kegs into traditional glass bottles (siphons). This development arouse great interest of beer industry professionals from all over the globe. Among the obvious advantages of the product specialists acknowledged the high quality of the system along with its low price. In Europe dispensing systems of similar type cost around 4000 – 8000€. While the price for the PEGAS CrafTap is several times lower than that. The PEGAS CrafTap performs the same function as other filling machines – fast and foam-free beer dispensing, however the Russian development is considerably more compact and cost-effective.

Mr. Evgeniy Trifonov, PEGAS Product Manager of the Novosibirskprodmash, ZAO, told that there were four pcs PEGAS CrafTap exhibited at the Drinktec fair and all of them were quickly sold out after the fair. Three systems PEGAS CrafTap were bought by a German company specializing in distributing a wide range of beer equipment on the domestic market. One PEGAS CrafTap system was sold to a Ukrainian brewery. Besides, at the fair the representatives of the Novosibirskprodmash, ZAO, conducted negotiations with several European companies specializing in distributing beer dispensing equipment, and certain preliminary agreements were reached regarding the distribution of the PEGAS CrafTap in Germany and Czech Republic.

The reason why the PEGAS CrafTap arouse such a great interest among beer professionals from different countries is that a new trend of drinking beer at home is developing along with the general trend of drinking beer on-site (in bars, pubs, etc). The volume of take-away draught beer sales has been increasing in Russia for the past 5 years and this increase has been accompanied by the growth in the sales of the PEGAS dispensers. Now in Europe, North America, etc. selling beer for take-away is gradually becoming more popular. And the PEGAS CrafTap is called to make this trend a usual and lobed-by-all service.

Along with the PEGAS CrafTap bottle-filler, the Novosibirskprodmash, ZAO, also presented its other products – PEGAS NovoTap beer dispenser into PET bottles and the PEGAS Dragon, recently developed beer tower for a quick and easy installation of the PEGAS NovoTap systems. The surprising fact was that the majority of visitors reacted most positively to the idea of filling draught beer into PET bottles from such countries where the idea of beer filling into PET bottles was unanimously rejected several years ago (Czech Republic, USA, Australia, etc.) Thus, there is a certain tendency towards the acceptance of PET bottles for filling draught beer both by beer producers and consumers.

To cover it all, the Novosibirskprodmash, ZAO, has received very positive comments about its PEGAS TM beer dispensers from its existing and potential customers. The participation at the Drinktec fair was highly useful in terms of presenting our new product, maintaining business relations with our partners and customers, and, of course, acquiring new business relations.
