WHAT IS PEGAS? Manual beer dispensers PEGAS™ are intended for fast and foam-free filling of beer (and other foamy and/or carbonated beverages) from kegs into take-home containers in different retail outlets.
The technology underlying the work of the PEGAS™ systems is based on the counter-pressure method, which is generally applied in industrial beer bottling machines. The counter-pressure method consists of filling an empty bottle with gas under the pressure equal to the pressure in a keg with beer. It ensures fast, foam-free dispensing and keeping primary beverage quality. Thus, with PEGAS draught beer retail outlets can use the advantages of the industrial technology for manual beer bottling.

What makes the PEGAS™ beer dispensers special?
PEGAS means No More Excessive Foam
Manual bottle-filling of carbonated beverages with traditional dispensing systems always results in excessive foam-formation. Excessive foaming in its turn means extra time, energy and significant beer wastage. PEGAS employs an industrial bottle-filling technology which guarantees absence of excessive foam in the process of dispensing.
PEGAS increases a keg yield
Ongoing beer wastage makes draught beer sales considerably less profitable than they could be. Sellers can lose up to 25% of beer in a keg for foam, it means that they lose 25% of their profit from each keg. Due to the foam-control option, PEGAS reduces beer wastage to a minimum and increases a keg yield up to 98%.
PEGAS keeps beer quality better
The results of an independent laboratory analysis show that after dispensing unfiltered beer with the PEGAS™ systems:
- The saturation of beer with CO2 is the same in the bottle as it is in a keg or a tank;
- The share of oxygen does not exceed its share in a keg or a tank and amounts to 20ppb (0.020 mg/ltr);
- Airproof bottle-filling creates proper conditions for sanitary dispensing and preserves beer from irrelevant micro flora, thus keeping its microbiological composition unchanged.
- After dispensing and sealing a bottle with a cap the quality of draught beer is kept for 7-14 days.
PEGAS speeds up customer service
PEGAS fills a 1.5-liter bottle with beer within 45 seconds. It pours beer 3-4 times faster than a conventional beer tap. Serving your customers quicker brings them back and attracts new customers. This in its turn means more beverage and other products sold.
PEGAS provides a hygienic bottle-filling indeed
Contrary to traditional draught systems that fill containers bottom-up, PEGAS provides laminar bottle filling. It means that beverage flows top-down along the internal surface of the bottle. As a result, the PEGAS system has no contact with the beverage that ensures much more hygienic filling.
