PEGAS producer became a member of the Union of Russian Brewers

The Union of Russian Brewers made a decision to include Novosibirskprodmash company, the producer of the PEGAS beer dispensers, to its members. The goal of Novosibirskprodmash is to represent the interests of the owners of take-home draft beer stores.

The Beer Dispensing Product Manager of the Novosibirskprodmash company, Mr. Evgeniy Trifonov, explains that the activity of Novosibirskprodmash is very closely connected with beer industry: “We have been working in the segment of draft beer for 6 years developing innovative products that increase profitability of beer –to-go business. In 2004 we started to sell our PEGAS dispensers, this basically was the beginning of civilized beer-to-go trade in Russia. During these years there appeared over 19 000 take home draft beer stores in our country with more than 80 000 people employed in the sphere. We can see that many new manufacturers of beer and soft drinks came to the market and they also started to sell their beverages from the establishments for take-away.

“Now we observe that many initiatives that are capable of ruining this type of business come to approval to the Russia’s State Duma. We do not want to close our eyes seeing what is happening. We firmly believe that the voices of manufacturers and sellers of draft beer must be heard, and we are ready to represent their interests to decide these vital issues. We hope that being a member of the Union of Russian brewers, the organization that successfully cooperates with the Russian government in the sphere of legislative regulation of beer industry, we will be able to contribute in formulation of the effective regulation and functioning of take home draft beer business”, explains Mr. Trifonov the reasons of Novosibirskprodmash membership in the Union.

The Union of Russian Brewers, founded in September, 1999, is an industry organization that unites beer and soft drink producers.

The cornerstone principles of the Union are respect to consumers and fair competition.

The union has the following goals and objectives:

Interaction with state executive and legislative bodies;
Regulation of the following areas of professional activity and the following properties of industry products: production, quality and selling of beer, consumer relations;
Promotion of beer consumption culture, advertising and market promotion, sponsorship and philanthropy;
Development of dialogue with federal and social institutions in the process of which the brewing community reports on the measures taken in the brewing industry with regard to the economic stability, social welfare and ecological stability.

At the moment the Union includes 42 manufacturers of beer and soft drinks (whose aggregate production output accounts from over 95% of beer in Russia). The Union adopted Russian Brewers' Code of Honor, the document that serves as an agreement on professional rules and business ethics standards.
