BRAU Beviale’08 Trade Show (Germany)

In November, 12-14, the Novosibirskprodmash Company demonstrated its new PEGAS TM products at the largest European trade show for the beverage industry – BRAU Beviale 2008. BRAU Beviale is the annual show for industry professionals held in Nuremberg, Germany. It was our second participation at the BRAU show and forth participation at the European specialized trade show.

We welcomed about two hundred people at our stand - microbrewers, beer equipment manufacturers and distributors from different parts of the world. The majority of them were from Germany, Austria, Czech Republic and other European countries. Some visitors came from U.S.A., Latin America and South East Asia. In comparison with the previous years the number of beer industry professionals coming to the BRAU show from Russia and former Soviet republics (Ukraine, Byelorussia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, etc.) has significantly increased.

At the BRAU we demonstrated our new PEGAS TM beer dispensers. We used the concept ‘Evolution of Draft Beer Dispensing’ to show that our products are top elements in the chain of evolution of different equipment used now for dispensing draft beer. There are no analogues to our products on the world market which can provide such fast and foam-free dispensing.

Depending on the type of the container to be filled, we designed and presented three products:

PEGAS NovoTap

It provides fast and foam-free filling of PET bottles. It can be applied in microbreweries and pubs/bars, liquor stores and supermarkets, stadiums and music festivals.

PEGAS CrafTap

It is meant for fast and foam-free filling of glass bottles. It can be applied in the same spheres as the NovoTap. We presented a sample of the product and we are planning to have it on sale in autumn 2009.

PEGAS GTap

It is meant for filling beer mugs and cups without foam. We also exhibited a sample of the product and we are planning to launch it on the market in summer 2009.

We consider that this trade show was very successful for us. We made the following important conclusions about potential of our products:

There are no analogous products on the world market to the PEGAS NovoTap or PEGAS CraftTap.
There are similar products to the PEGAS GTap, however they are electronic and automatic, that’s why, they are considerably more expensive. Our dispenser is manual which makes it more affordable for customers.
The PEGAS NovoTap can be very popular in the countries where PET bottles are used for beer sales (Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, etc., Eastern Europe, South Korea, etc.). Besides, some customers from the U.S., Western Europe, Singapore considered possible such switch from glass to plastic bottles and got interested in it.
PEGAS CrafTap will definitely be in high demand as soon as it is launched on the market. It will be used in countries with strong traditions of using glass bottles for draft beer sales (Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, etc.) We received about one hundred enquiries on this bottle-filler and several companies got interested in distributorship. The Western European market proved to have a huge potential and demand for it.
PEGAS GTap was considered to be a great solution for bars and restaurants by visitors from Russia and former Soviet republic.
