Q: What equipment do I need to install the PEGAS CrafTap?

A: You will need the same equipment that you use for a beer tap, namely:

I -PEGAS CrafTap;
II - Keg or pressurized tank;
III - CO2 tank with gas gauge;
IV - Beer Chiller (Only if you do not store your beer in a cold room);
V - T-joint for hoses;
VI - Beer supply hose;
VII - Gas supply hose;
VIII - Drainage hoses;
IX - Keg coupler;
X - Table top;
XI - Connection parts for hoses;
XII - Drainage container.

Q: How to mount the PEGAS CrafTap on a bar counter?

A: To mount the PEGAS CrafTap the following tools are required:

Drill;
Drill bit (diameter 10mm (0.39 in));
Electric jig saw;
Jig saw blades;
Wrench 13mm (0,51 in);
Straight-blade screwdriver.

You will also need the stencil for hole drilling, which is included in the package.

To mount the device you should make the following steps:

- Select a suitable location for the device installation and ensure that this location has enough free space (minimum 150 mm/5.91in) under the mounting surface for device.

- Place the stencil for drilling holes over the location where you want the device to be mounted, then drill the holes for the mounting bolts. After that use the jig saw to cut out the area for everything else.

- Screw the mounting bolts into the base of the PEGAS CrafTap, align them with the mount holes. Then carefully place the hoses through the cut area before setting the device down into place.

- Secure the PEGAS Craftap to the mounting surface by placing the supplied nuts and washers on the mounting bolts and then tightening them.

Q: What glass bottles can I use with the PEGAS CrafTap?

A: The glass bottle should comply with the following requirements:

- height – 250-400 mm (9.84-15.75 in);
- bottle outside diameter (including handle) – up to 160mm (6.3 in);
- bottle neck outside diameter – 29-56.5mm (1.14-2.22 in);
- bottle neck inside diameter –minimum 20mm (0.79 in);
- bottom diameter – min 56 mm (2.2 in);
- capacity – 0.33-2.0L (11 – 67.6 Fl Oz (US));
- must withstand the inner pressure of no less than 0.5 MPa (5 bar).

Q: Can I use PEGAS CrafTap to fill beer into PET bottles?

A: Yes, you definitely can.

Q: If my glass bottle doesn’t comply with your requirements, can I fill beer with the opened door of the CrafTap system?

A: If the door of the CrafTap device is opened, it is strongly prohibited to dispense beer. If your bottle has different parameters than it is required, DO NOT use it for filling with the PEGAS CrafTap! Please, find another bottle.

Q: What is the lighting for?

A: The lighting in the CrafTap is needed to control the level of beer and the beer filling rate, especially if you use glass bottles of amber color.

Q: What is the extra CO2 consumption to create counter-pressure?

A: The extra CO2 consumption to create counter-pressure is 0.2-0.8 kg/h (0.44-1.76 lb/h).

Q: How can I wash the filling head of the PEGAS CrafTap?

A: The best way to wash the filling head of the CrafTap is to connect a keg with a disinfecting solution instead of a keg with beer, install a bottle with a wide neck in the device and fill the bottle with a disinfecting solution to the brim.

Q: How can I be sure that the dispensing with the PEGAS CrafTap is hygienic?

A: Contrary to usual manual filling devices (beer taps & hoses, beer tubes, etc) that fill containers bottom-up and whose parts protrude into the bottle having the direct contact with beer, PEGAS CrafTap provides laminar bottle filling. It means that the beverage flows top-down along the internal surface of the bottle. As a result, the Craft Tap has no contact with the beverage which ensures a hygienic filling.
