Q: What equipment do I need to install the PEGAS NovoTap?

A: You will need the same equipment that you use for a beer tap. You just mount the PEGAS NovoTap to a beer tower instead of a beer tap.

The system to be installed consists of:

Gas cylinder
Chiller
T-joint
Beer supply hose
Gas supply hose
Drainage hose

Q: What are the ways of the PEGAS NovoTap installation?

A: PEGAS NovoTap can be installed to a beer tower or to a wall of a cold room.

Q: Does the PEGAS NovoTap require a special beer tower?

A: Yes, due to the peculiarities of the PEGAS NovoTap design (to be more specific, because we use a special tee adapter for placing all hoses inside the body), the system has certain requirements to beer towers.

A hollow-core beer tower with inner diameter not less than 90 mm and a through hole with diameter equal to 23 mm shall be used for the PEGAS NovoTap installation.

Beer towers that meet these requirements are of a ‘gate-type’ or 'column-type'.

Q: Can I use a beer tap together with the PEGAS NovoTap?

A: Yes, if you order the set Pegas NovoTap+. We supply two modifications: PEGAS NovoTap and Pegas NovoTap+. PEGAS NovoTap does not have an option for screwing a beer tap to it. The front part of the PEGAS NovoTap body looks like this:

The front part of the Pegas NovoTap+ is different and has a hole for screwing a beer tap. Please, mind that a beer tap shall have a G 5/8 shank to be screwed to the Pegas NovoTap+.

Q: What plastic bottles shall I use with the PEGAS NovoTap?

A: PEGAS systems are designed for filling beer into plastic bottles with standard BPF or PCO necks (BPF stands for “British Plastic Federation”, PCO stands for “Plastic Closures Only”). Please, see the dimensions below:

Q: Shall I chill beer to dispense it with the PEGAS NovoTap?

A: No, you don’t need to chill beer to have less foam during the bottle-filling. The PEGAS NovoTap will cope with the task of dispensing even warm beer without foam (though be ready, the filling speed will be lower in comparison with cold beer). Just don’t forget to put the bottles with beer in the fridge before sharing them with friends!
